Jacqueline Fraser was born in New Zealand in 1956 and still lives there. Her site specific installations, often consisting of elegant and complex wire and fabric wall pieces, combining locally and internationally sourced materials, defy simple definition. She had a solo show at the New Museum in New York in 2001, and has exhibited at the Venice Biennale 2001, the Yokohama Triennale 2002, and also in France, Mexico, Singapore and Spain.
