Michal Rovner was born in Israel in 1957 and now lives in New York City. Her work in video and film, paper and canvas explores the boundaries between reality and illusion. Rovner represented Israel at the Venice Biennale (2003). Rovner has created site-specific video installations and her films have been screened internationally. Notes, a collaboration with Philip Glass, was screened at the Lincoln Center Festival 2001, New York and the Barbican Theatre, London.
