'A World of Difference'
Our final exhibition working in collaboration with The Prince’s Trust and artist Kim Thompson will open on May 9th 2014 at St David’s Hall, Cardiff.
‘A World of Difference’ is the culmination of a 12 week project working with young people from The Prince’s Trust.
Seven young people aged 13 – 25 have produced work as part of this final exhibition, having spent time developing personally and artistically through hands on taster sessions; trying their hand at several different media including photography, printmaking, resins and plastics and Photoshop; and exhibition and gallery visits which included 3am: Wonder, Paranoia and the Restless Night at Chapter, Joelle Tuerlinckx: WOR(L)D(K) IN PROGRESS? at Arnolfini, a graffiti art tour through Bristol’s Nelson Street and a workshop at National Museum Cardiff Wales: A Visitation with artist Heloise Godfrey.
With the guidance of Kim Thompson the young people have been able to explore their experiences of the world and their artwork is a response to the topics and discussions they touched upon through the 12 week process including family and our surroundings.
The exhibition is open May 10th until June 9th 2014 at St David’s Hall, Cardiff : Monday –Saturday 9.30am – 5.30pm.
