Dare to Dream
In 2006 Artes Mundi worked in partnership with Valley and Valley Community Arts and Betws Primary School on this large-scale creative children's project. Dare to Imagine used creativity, storytelling, visual arts and film with schoolchildren from Betws Primary School to encourage them to explore their dreams, to imagine and to express themselves creatively. Nearly 300 children created postcards about their dreams in words and pictures, attached them to red balloons and sent them off into the sky on Friday 23rd June. Since the launch many people have found the balloons and have returned the postcards to us, making connections between people and believing in dreams coming true.
