Artes Mundi works in partnership with a large number and wide range of organisations across the public, private, arts and education sectors.

It was established in 2002 with the support of the Welsh Assembly Government, the City and County of Cardiff, Arts Council Wales, BBC Wales and the Derek Williams Trust.  The Artes Mundi Exhibition is organised in association with Amgueddfa Cymru – National Museum Wales and presented at the National Museum Cardiff.

Other sponsors for Artes Mundi 4 are Bank of America Merrill Lynch, St David's Dewi Sant, Admiral, Legal & General, Saville Audio Visual and, from the higher education sector, ATRiuM, University of Glamorgan and the University of Wales Institute Cardiff (UWIC).

Artes Mundi has received an investment from Arts & Business Cymru to development their creative partnerships with the corporate sector. Arts & Business Cymru’s Investment Programme is made possible by funding from the Welsh Assembly Government and Arts Council of Wales.

The Western Mail is a media partner.
